Did your favorite jeans rip? Did you find a hole in your sweater, knit cap, or sock? Is your coat missing buttons (or about to)? Is your bag strap tearing free? Don't throw it away, mend it!
Bring your clean, torn/damaged clothing to Free Cycles on Saturday, February 9th to learn a variety of mending skills. Replace a lost button, learn to darn a sock, explore the art of visible mending, and more!

- Knots for starting and finishing hand stitching
- Basic hand stitches: running and whipstitch
- Securing buttons and tightening buttonholes
- Darning
- Visible mending techniques
- Patching
- Embroidery
- Basic machine stitches
Tools, supplies, and helpers are provided.
Children are welcome! We will have learning items at a range of ages/abilities so children can learn along with you.
We will have a Potluck meal, please bring food to share.
Accessibility notes: single-floor location, ramp available for front door. Variety of supplies for visual and fine motor skill impairment. Restroom available with room for wheelchair or walker, but no grab bars.
