All are invited for a meet-up on multi-modal transportation in Missoula.
Come hear about and give input on design options to improve the Higgins Avenue corridor. Free Cycles Missoula has invited Aaron Wilson, the City of Missoula's Infrastructure & Mobility Planning Manager, to give a presentation on the Higgins Avenue Corridor Plan from 4pm to 4:30pm, followed by a question and answer period. The presentation and discussion will take place on Monday, March 28th, at the Free Cycles Community Bicycle Shop meeting space, located at 732 S. 1st St. W. Popcorn, cookies, and tea will be served.
Project Background (from project website):
"The City of Missoula and the Missoula Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), in collaboration with the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), are studying Higgins Avenue between Brooks Street and Broadway Street to develop a corridor plan. The plan will evaluate design options to improve safety and access for people driving, biking, walking, and riding the bus. The goal is to create a modern transportation system that enhances the economic vitality of the corridor and serves as a gateway to downtown Missoula."
Everyone's voice matters, and this is an opportunity to learn more about design options and how we can help improve the heart of Missoula for all modes of transportation.
