Hello!

This is Charlotte, Sofia, and Zoha. We are a group of 8th graders hosting a talent show to raise money for a cancer hospital in Pakistan as our community project (CP). We have chosen to do this for our CP because the healthcare in Pakistan is struggling, and many people aren't able to receive the medical resources they need. We specifically chose a non-profit hospital called the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, because these hospitals give healthcare access to people who can't afford it. The government runs privately owned hospitals, and due to current government issues, the money donated would not be assured to help people. Therefore, choosing a non-profit hospital assures us that the money raised will be used well. Did you know that Shaukat Khanum gives free healthcare to almost 75% of its patients?

We hope you and your child will be able to join us for the talent show at Free Cycles on Thursday, January 9th from 6 to 9 pm. There will not be an entrance fee, but donations are greatly appreciated!

Here are some ways you can donate:

• You can donate using a QR code that attaches to Venmo (this will be set up at the talent show)

• There will be a bake sale where you can purchase goodies for the hospital.

• There will be a donation jar where you can donate cash.
