|Fall 2010 Events|
Such an exciting time in Missoula, with Sustainable Transportation and all the activity. Now that street and trail construction has about wrapped up- new bike lanes, cycle tracks, roundabouts, sidewalks and lighting- we turn our focus to some community events.
Here is a rundown:
Sunday October 10th: 10-10-10 international day of action for climate change. We'll be building 10 bikes, 10 bike parking racks and 10 bike trailers at the community bike shop, 12-4pm. Much help needed. http://www.350.org/en/node/18813
Saturday October 16th: an overnight bicycle tour up to Lubrect Forest. We'll carry bikes on our bikes to donate to the Forest, and camp in an aspen grove, returning to Missoula sunday morning. 33 miles each way, self supported. All are welcome. More information
Monday November 1st: Day of the Dead parade on N. Higgins. We'll scult a parade entry at free cycles celebrating the bicycle life and remembering those that die in traffic crashes. All welcome to participate.
and a public meeting:
